Orbit & Shutter was born out of our shared love for storytelling and capturing life’s most meaningful moments. It all started with Bryce being asked to record the ceremony for a cousin and, in his typical fashion, took it to the stars and ended up filming the entire day for them. This is where he decided he loved it and brought Haylee in to work on this together.

Right now, it’s just the two of us. Bryce usually running video, and Haylee on photo, but we’re excited to grow into a team that can serve even more couples and stories.

Our Approach

Here is where we are a little different. Here it is in three steps:

1. The Discovery Meeting

We’ll start by actually getting to know you. During the Discovery Meeting, we’ll talk about your plans, what you’re looking for, and what matters most to you. From there, we’ll help you figure out what we can do to make sure your day is documented the way you want it to be.

2. The Story Session

This is where we sit down with you and hear your story. You’ll tell us how you met, talk about your relationship, and answer some questions about the two of you. We want to get to know the people behind the wedding, not just the wedding itself.

You’ll also get the full recording of your Story Session to keep forever. It’s not just something we use to make your film. It’s a piece of your story that you’ll be able to look back on for years to come.

3. Your Wedding Day

Then, it’s time for the big day.

Our goal is to let you actually enjoy it.

Of course, we’ll still make time for the photos and videos you want. We’ll help guide you when it’s time for portraits, family photos, and all those important moments. But we don’t want that to take over your entire day.

We take a relaxed, minimally intrusive approach. We’re there to document your wedding, not stage it. We’ll step in when we need to, but otherwise, we’re happy to step back and let things happen naturally.

Spend time with your people. Laugh, cry, dance, eat some cake, and actually be present for your wedding.
